Absolute

My meditation for today...

Absolute Honesty: Both with ourselves and with others, in word, deed, and thought.

Absolute Unselfishness: To be willing, wherever possible, to help others who need our help.

Absolute Love: You shall love with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. And. . . you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Absolute Purity: Purity of mind, of body, and of purpose.

There is only 4 absolutes. Contrary to populary belief, Absolute Vodka is not the 5th included in this list. If it were, that would be completely ridiculous, so don't even think about it.

I liked what you had to say about these four "absolutes". I do not however think that when dealing in "absolutes" you leave enough grey area to be flexible enough to adhere to other unique and challenging individuals.

I think these "absolutes" would be better served as principles to strive by rather then end all behavior modifiers. That is the inherit trouble that lies within dealing with idea’s that are absolute; rigidity.

Being honest with our selves is important but hard, unselfishness is noble but unrealistic, and loving with everything you have is healthy provided your everything is healthy too and purity is perspective in some degree’s

I never want to sound like I’m tearing someone’s idea’s apart (especially when they are a sanctimonious as yours are) because your meditations are sound, it’s just me making observations.
