I have been thinking about the concepts of compassion and expectations lately and this thought can't seem to leave my mind.
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they've got. Just because someone loves you to the best of their ability, doesn't mean they can love you the way you need to feel loved.

I think you got the right idea there
The way a person needs to feel loved, in my opinion, lies in their head, not their heart.
The heart has no mind to doubt, so it accepts all love it is given.
The mind doubts because it knows of our own weaknesses and fears of the same in others.
Compassion, in my opinion, is the love for everyone from the basic viewpoint of our innate interconnectedness.
I have found the easiest way to feel loved is to first love myself. Clearing out the skeletons in my emotional closet makes it easier to find compassion when I can see others hiding theirs. It makes it easier to give love first because it seems we're all waiting for someone else to start first. So I feel the greatest act of love we can make it to take the first step first. That's my two cents. Thanks for posting and for asking for perspectives, we don't listen to each other enough.
